View from New Delhi hotel window
After I'd checked out of the place everyone had been staying in New Delhi, which was the international center next to the United Nations complex, I stayed for a couple of days in a hotel near Connaught Place, the central area of the city. (I believe it was Nirula's Hotel, but my memory may be foggy a year-plus later.) This is a photo taken of the street below with a disposable camera, from the hotel balcony. It was a fascinatingly busy and frenetic area, and I spent some time answering email in a tiny and dusty internet cafe located literally beneath this street, as well as wandering around shopping a bit. I wish I'd had more time to explore this area, and Delhi and India in general.
