Chiang Mai: Warorat Market
The Warorat Market area seems always to be busy and crowded, which is not surprising, considering how massive it is and how many things are for sale -- from every imaginable kind of food, spice, or cooking material to clothing to watches, trinkets, electronics, fireworks, etc., mostly at great prices (though bargaining is still de rigeur, of course.) The area opens early in the day, and stays open until evening. It's far more a Thai than tourist-oriented place that, say, the Night Market, but there are plenty of tourists and signs in English as well.
